　　三江學院作為青奧會英語志愿者選拔基地之一，為了響應其號召，培養擁有過硬口語能力的大學生志愿者，三江學院大學生英語協會倡議，每一位對英語感興趣的同學都能積極參與到英語角活動中來。

　　英語角作為英語協會的招牌活動，擁有著一群得力的策劃者，曾在大外部老師及外教的指導和幫助之下，成功舉辦過英語辯論賽、模擬市場等活動，多次進行各種主題的討論。英語角提供給每一位來到英語角的同學參與各類活動、共享資源的`機會，用英語交流心聲，用英語展現自我。

　　懇請各位曾經給予英協幫助的大外部老師和外教都能繼續支持英協的第二課堂。

　　I’m a student form Chongqing, China. Today I write to you to ask for your help to improve the situation the finless porpoise in the Changjiang River is faced with.

　　Because of the behavior of human beings, the finless porpoise in the Changjiang River has been greatly influenced and will be endangered. According to research, its total number is less than 1000 now. We have founded a project for protecting finless porpoise but we have difficulty in running it for lack of enough money. If you would like to help, you can provide it with necessary money. Besides, you can give us relevant training in protecting them. 　　Animals are natural resources that people have wasted all through our history. Animals have been killed for their fur and feathers, for food, for sport, and simply because they were in the way. Thousands of kinds of animals have disappeared from the earth forever. Hundreds more are on the danger list today. About 170 kinds in the United States aloneare considered in danger.

　　Why should people care? Because we need animals, and because once they are gone, there will never be any more.Animals are more than just beautiful or interesting. They are more than just a source of food. Every animal has its place in the balance of nature. Destroying one kind of animal can create many problems. For example, when farmers killed large numbers of hawks, the farmers' stores of corn and grain were destroyed by rats and mice. Why? Because hawks eat rats and mice, with no hawks to keep down their numbers, the rats and mice multiplied quickly.

　　Luckily, some people are working to help save the animals. Some groups raise money to let people know about the problem. And they try to get the governments to pass laws protecting animals in danger. Quite a few countries have passed laws. These laws forbid the killing of any animal or planton the danger list. Slowly, the number of some animals in danger is growing.

　　為了進一步提升一個城市的文明層次和每一個人的文明素質，減少資源浪費，避免可回收物的`二次污染，促使垃圾處理進一步減量化、資源化、無害化，我倡議全民行動，從我做起開展生活垃圾源頭分類工作。

　　一、垃圾源頭分類是指我們將在平時的工作、生活中所產生的廢棄物分類收集，并將可回收利用物再回收，將不可再回收利用物和有毒有害廢棄物分類收集交有關部門集中收集處理。

　　二、生活垃圾可分種類：紙類、塑料、橡膠、紡織物、金屬、玻璃、植物（園林垃圾）、廚余、磚石灰土及其它（無法回收的衛生用品），前6種屬可回收物，園林垃圾、廚余垃圾屬待定可加工處理再利用物。

　　大家辛苦了！

　　自xxxx年9月廣東、山東、海南、寧夏四省開始普通高中新課程實驗以來的五年后的今天，新的課程改革猶如一股沁人心扉的春風向湖北中學教育界迎面撲來。

　　這次實驗是我國建國后的第八次基礎教育課程改革，這次改革，步伐之大，速度之快，難度之大，都是前七次改革所不可比擬的。它將實現我國中小學課程從學科本位、知識本位向關注每一個學生發展的歷史性轉變。目前，我們全市高一教師們正以飽滿的熱忱學習新課改理論，準備迎接新課程改革的挑戰。

　　通過幾天的暑期集中學習，老師們逐步了解并接受了一系列新的課程改革理論，認識到了傳統的`教學模式存在諸多弊端，意識到新課程改革最關鍵的是實現教師教學方式的轉變和學生學習方式的轉變。然而，老師們普遍感到困難的是如何將新的課改理念轉化為教師的課堂教學行為以及學生的高效學習方式。

　　藉此暑期集中學習的東風，我倡議全市高中英語教師開展如何踐行新課改理念，迎接新課程改革的挑戰，提高全市高中英語教學質量的大討論。

　　討論圍繞以下4個子問題展開：

　　1、如何搞好初高中銜接？

　　2、如何面向全體學生，實現學生共同發展？

　　3、如何培養學生自主學習能力？

　　4、如何優化課堂教學結構，提高課堂教學效率？

　　針對上述問題，我提出個人幾點不成熟的意見，起一個拋磚引玉的作用，供大家討論參考。

　　一、如何搞好初高中銜接？

　　1、開展學情分析，搞好兩個“摸清”，即：摸清學生知識底細，摸清學生學習態度和學習方法底細，便于開展針對性的教學工作。

　　2、開展學習方法的系列講座和優生經驗介紹，讓學生弄清高中英語教學特點和要求，認清高中與初中老師教學方式上的差異，以及學生學習方法上的不同，培養學生從高一開始就學會自己查閱詞典、參考書，養成獨立學習、自主學習的好習慣。教師要對學生的聽、說、讀、寫、查等良好習慣的培養自始至終地貫穿于整個高一年級的教學中，要常督促、定期檢查，從而使學生養成良好的學習習慣。應利用開學后大約一個月的時間，讓學生熟悉并掌握一系列好的學習方法，形成一套符合每個學生的學習方法體系。

　　3、作為高中英語教師，要了解初中英語的教材教法。在學生剛剛步入高中的初期，教學起點宜“低一點”，課堂教學的難度不要過大，不要使課堂教學發生突變，造成學生不適應。對課堂教學方式的轉變，要一步步地改變、慢慢地引導，讓學生在不知不覺中適應高中英語教學。在課后要抓好單詞的鞏固和檢查，對作業要做適量的補充，并有布置、有檢查，對學生要嚴格要求，有針對性地查漏補缺，逐步地過渡到學生自立自主的學習方式。

　　4、在分析研究的基礎上，幫助學生對初中知識進行整理，并開展有針對性的查漏補缺。可利用開學前大約兩周的時間，對初中課程中出現的語法現象進行歸納總結，對初中課程尚未學完的詞匯進行有計劃的學習，確保每個學生在進入高中的起始階段建立完備的知識體系。

　　Whale are huge animals.They live in the sea and eat small fish and other sea life.One intere sting fact is whales can jump high out of water.Some kinds of whales are in danger because humans catch them formeat,fat,and oil,and use whale parts to make candles and soap.Whales are also in danger from water pollution.We should protect whales by making rules on whale protection and by not putting rubbish into the sea.I think people should learn more about whales.

　　Many animals are in danger of dying out. As is shown in the chart, we can see the number of animal species decreases faster and faster and this trend will continue. From 1980 to 20xx, at least 1 million animal species have disappeared. Worse still, more and more wild animals are in great danger. It is not a piece of sensational news; it is a fact, a harsh reality. Unfortunately, we may not see these animals in the near future.

　　From the second picture, we can find some reasons. Why is the number of animal species declining year by year? Apparently animals have become victims of fashion industry. Animal skin has been used to make fashionable clothes and these clothes sell at a high price. So some greedy people begin to kill animals in a large quantity. This irresponsible behavior not only breaks the balance of nature but also endangers the living environment of human beings.

　　As far as I am concerned, something must be done to stop this illegal action. We believe "no buying, no killing". First, we must make concerning laws to protect these animals in danger. Second, we must take some measures to protect animals effectively. Animals are our friends and part of our environment. Third, we should raise people's awareness to protect animals and our environment. In this way, we can build a harmonious society and ensure a sustainable development.
